Description

At the Technological University of Clausthal, a Dependable and Autonomous Cyber-physical Systems (DACS) Research Group is looking for an academic researcher in dependable (that is safe & secure) autonomous driving.

This position is available for full-time employment of a maximum duration of three years but may also be offered on a part-time basis. In addition, it offers the chance to pursue a doctorate degree at TU Clausthal. To be eligible for this post, one must fulfill personal requirements set forth in E 13 TV-L level.

One of the two computer science institutes located at TU Clausthal, the Institute for Software and Systems Engineering (ISSE) accommodates multiple research teams. For further details about the ISSE Institute

Your job is to:

  • Investigate and develop in the above-said area.
  • Create models and build prototypes.
  • Present findings at national and international symposiums.
  • Help with lectures, oversee exercises, and counsel students in our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.

Your profile:

  • A degree (M. Sc) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or related fields that show a great level of performance with a desire for academic progress in the context of a doctoral degree program.
  • You can think independently tackle challenges in an organized manner and quickly internalize concepts.
  • I love researching as it is my area of competence.
  • Good at programming.
  • Proficient in English language (at least at B2 level).

Desirable qualifications include knowledge in the following areas:

  • Experience and/or prior knowledge in one of the following areas: Formal Methods, Testing, Runtime Monitoring, or Diagnosis, with a desire to integrate these into contemporary safety processes.
  • Knowledge of software development methods (especially agile methods) and modeling of system structures and behavior.
  • Experience with common software development tools, such as Git, IDEs, CI/CD, and Issue Tracking.
  • Good German language skills (at least B2).
