Slovak University of Agriculture offers a PhD program in Fully Funded Economics and Management, providing a unique opportunity for passionate researchers interested in the intersection of economics and agriculture to conduct impactful research.

The long-term intention of the Faculty of Economics and Management of SPU in Nitra is to be among the best European research workplaces and to connect science and research with practice, to be involved in solving international, national, and local scientific and research problems.

The goal of doctoral studies is to prepare students for independent and creative scientific work. The scientific and research work of the faculty is focused on current tasks in the fields of business economics, business management, marketing approaches, banking systems, international politics, accounting, food safety, price transmission, agricultural consultancy, international trade in agricultural and food products and bioenergy, not only level of the Slovak Republic but also in wider international contexts. The quality of education is supported by considerable achievements of doctoral students in the form of the award of the President of the Slovak Republic for student personality of the year, awards from scientific and social institutions, as well as various financial support for the scientific work of students within the framework of foundations operating in Slovakia.

During your studies, it is possible to complete study stays at foreign universities or research institutes, as FEM is involved in international research networks that carry out top research mainly within the framework programs of the European Union and domestic scholarship programs (Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility, CEEPUS, TEMPUS International Vyšehrad Fund, National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic, etc.).
