Neural basis of human face recognition

the Face Categorization Lab in Nancy (France) at CNRS and University de Lorraine are inviting applicants to recruit a Ph.D. The research project will be supervised by Bruno Rossion collaborating with Jacques Jonas.
The successful PhD applicants will carry out their research on the neural mechanisms of human recognition of faces, as investigated with frequency-tagged electrophysiological activity (EEG and intracranial EEG). This Ph.D. program may also include neuropsychological and electrophysiological assessments during intracerebral electrical stimulation of the human ventral occipito-temporal cortex.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in neuroscience, cognitive science, biology, and psychology.
- The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of French and English language and a solid background in cognitive neuroscience.
- Good knowledge of electrophysiology/neuropsychology, and programming skills (e.g., R, Matlab or Python).
