FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany, is offering a fully funded PhD position in Behavioral Economics, allowing a talented researcher to explore human decision-making complexities, collaborate with leading academics, and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries.
You will have the chance to write your dissertation as part of a DFG project while working with Prof. Dr. Angela Dorrough to further research on gender issues, public faith in science, and cross-cultural social interactions. A fixed-term contract for three years is available for this 75% part-time role.
Your tasks:
- Academic qualification (e.g., doctorate) with a focus on cross-cultural social interactions
- Participation in academic self-administration
- Sharing research findings with the international research community through conference presentations and publications
- Supervision of bachelor and master theses
Your profile:
- (Nearly) completed above-average university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in psychology, economics, or a related field
- Very good knowledge of quantitative research methods
- Experience or a keen interest in cross-cultural psychology and/ or behavioral economics
- Willingness to develop expertise in statistical methods for large-scale (e.g., cross-cultural) datasets
- Experience with data analysis in R or STATA
- Excellent command of English; German (or the willingness to learn it) is a plus
