Job Description:
Selected candidates will be engaged in comprehensive doctoral research projects as detailed below:
- Analyzing peripheral inflammation-induced cellular changes in the CNS during and after peripheral inflammation and elucidating mechanisms leading to these changes, with a special focus on developing image analyses for the project.
- Examining important changes in hepatic intermediate metabolism during the development of severe liver disorders, particularly hepatocellular carcinoma, to find new disease biomarkers and therapy targets.
- clarifying the molecular processes behind the intricate relationships of lifestyle, mitochondrial activity, and aging in cancer risk and producing fresh insights for better treatment and preventive policies.
