Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarship to study in Germany

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) offers scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at German universities and technical colleges. This is a great opportunity for international students to study in Germany. This scholarship program is open to both German and international students.

What does the scholarship cover?

  • Monthly stipend of up to €744
  • Additional monthly allowance for study materials (€300)
  • Health insurance and long-term care insurance (up to €86/month)
  • Family allowance (€155/month) for scholars with children
  • Support for stays abroad (travel, tuition, insurance) for up to 12 months

  • Students committed to social and political goals (e.g., student council involvement, NGOs)
  • Strong academic performance
  • Open-minded and team-oriented individuals
  • Critical thinkers with a thirst for knowledge
  • For Bachelors/Masters: No prior enrollment at a German university
  • For Bachelors/Masters (international): Proof of German language proficiency
