The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) offers scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at German universities and technical colleges. This is a great opportunity for international students to study in Germany. This scholarship program is open to both German and international students.
What does the scholarship cover?
- Monthly stipend of up to €744
- Additional monthly allowance for study materials (€300)
- Health insurance and long-term care insurance (up to €86/month)
- Family allowance (€155/month) for scholars with children
- Support for stays abroad (travel, tuition, insurance) for up to 12 months

- Students committed to social and political goals (e.g., student council involvement, NGOs)
- Strong academic performance
- Open-minded and team-oriented individuals
- Critical thinkers with a thirst for knowledge
- For Bachelors/Masters: No prior enrollment at a German university
- For Bachelors/Masters (international): Proof of German language proficiency
