Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Bachelor’s or Master’s students (not PhD) in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Applicants should have completed at least six semesters of full-time studies at the university level by the European Summer 2025.
  • Applicants must remain registered as students during their stay at CERN. If the students are expected to graduate during the European Summer 2025 (as of May), they are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must have not worked at CERN before with any other status (Trainee, Technical Student, User, or other status) for more than three months, and they have not been previously a Summer Student at CERN.
  • Applicants must have a good knowledge of English; knowledge of French will be a plus point.
  • Applicants of all nationalities are eligible for this fully funded CERN internship for international students.

  • Two required letters of recommendation from the university lecturer or, if the student has completed any internships in the past, from a former internship.
