The program, sponsored by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises, aims to enhance journalists’ practical ability to combat digital security threats.

The program offers room for professional growth and interaction, as journalists can work with experts and other reporters from different countries.

Reporters Without Borders’ 2025 Berlin Fellowship program for journalists in crisis or war-affected areas offers six-month scholarships. Participants will create their training concepts and contribute to their own countries of origin. This curriculum also teaches journalists digital security skills, empowering them in their own countries.

The Berlin Scholarship Program by Reporters Without Borders in Germany is open to journalists combating cyberterrorism and is suitable in this regard as it is fully funded.

Eligibility Criteria.

  • Professional journalists, media professionals, bloggers, and journalists who are exposed to any digital threats in their home countries can apply for the RSF Germany fellowships 2025.
  • Applicants should have experienced any violence, such as doxing or impersonation.
  • Journalists are eager to learn about digital security to improve their security and the safety of their sources.
