Eligibility/Qualification PhD Scholarship

  • Master’s degree in Molecular Biology
  • Experience with molecular biological techniques (e.g., cell culture, PCR, qPCR, RNA isolation)
  • Experience with library preparation, high-throughput genomics data generation
  • Knowledge of SLIC-CAGE or CAGE protocols and eukaryotic transcriptional regulation
  • Lab management skills and experience with JASPAR or UniBind databases is a plus
  • Prior supervisory experience is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Job Description

The PhD candidate will:

  • Conduct next-generation sequencing omics assays (SLIC-CAGE, scATAC-seq, SMF)
  • Analyze and interpret bioinformatics data
  • Curate data for the JASPAR database
  • Write and publish scientific manuscripts
  • Present research findings at seminars and conferences
  • Manage day-to-day lab operations (25% duty)
