PhD Scholarship at University of Helsinki, Finland

We are searching for a doctoral candidate (PhD applicants) who will work in a lively and global exploration environment as a feature of an Exploration Chamber of Finland-financed project on RNA-intervened pathogenicity components in prokaryotic models.

The effective candidate will chip away at one of two center regions:

  1. Portraying the job and elements of viral RNA-based parts during infection contamination, or
  2. Investigating infection disease intervened changes in archeal interpretation. The venture involves cooperative viewpoints with different groups and colleges and will be customized along with the fruitful candidate in light of their advantage and related knowledge.

Qualifications

  • A second-cycle university degree, an applicable second-cycle degree from a university of applied sciences in the field of molecular biology, microbiology, or virology, biochemistry, genetics, or biotechnology, or provides equivalent skills and knowledge.
  • Prior experience in microbial characterization, translation studies, RNA-seq, and applicable Bioinformatics is considered an advantage.
  • Furthermore, successful applicants are expected to be competitive in national and international funding schemes. Good communication skills in English (oral and written) are essential, as are enthusiasm for the topic, strong motivation to learn and adapt new skills, and readiness to work with diverse teams
